Identity of Hitch Hiker Killed on Interstate 81 Monday Evening Released

New information has been released about Monday evening fatal incident including the victim's identity.


Eldora Youst, 56, of Minersville, was killed Monday evening a while attempting to hitch hike to Frackville on Interstate 81 when she was struck by a passing tractor trailer.   She was reportedly attempting to flag down motorists when she was struck.  The incident happened in the northbound lanes at Milemarker 100 near Pine Grove.
